Stuffed pears are a special dessert that’s easy to make, absolutely delicious, and it is healthy and low in fat. The wine combined with the sweetness of the pears makes a scrumptious dish.
Stuffed Pears Ingredients
- ½ cup sliced almonds, toasted and finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon confectioners’ sugar
- 2 large ripe pears, halved and cored
- 3 tablespoons dry marsala wine
Stuffed Pears Preparation
Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease a baking dish with a small amount of butter. Combine the almonds and sugar in a small bowl and mix well. Place each pear half in the greased baking dish so that they fit snugly together. Stuff each pear half with the sugar-nut mixture, and then pour a little of the marsala on top of each pear. Bake uncovered for 10 minutes. Serve warm. Yield: 4 servings
